Douglas Mesney, nicknamed “The King of Slides,” pioneered the development of multi-image slide shows. Mesney’s production companies – The Incredible Slidemakers and Incredible Imagers – were known for their visual effects and animated style. His work garnered 150+ international awards and he was the first producer inducted into the Multi-Image Hall of Fame.
Mesney partnered with Audio Visual Laboratories (AVL) in their development of slide-show control equipment. He was a brand ambassador for AVL as well as Kodak and Dataton (Watchout). Mesney also was the driving force behind the first multi-image conference and festival, which became the Association for Multi-Image (AMI). Before retiring to write his memoir – An Incredible Epic – Mesney returned to his roots as a photo illustrator and produced thirteen collections of fine-arts pictures.
